ROBERT DOWNEY JR.

Robert John Downey Jr. (born April 4, 1965) is an American actor. His career has included critical and popular success in his youth, followed by a period of substance abuse and legal troubles, and a resurgence of commercial success in middle age. Making his screen debut at the age of five, appearing in his father's film Pound (1970), Downey began building upon theater roles, including in the short-lived off-Broadway musical "American Passion" at the Joyce Theater in 1983, by Norman Lear. In the 80s he also starred as Albert Einstein in the comedy-documentary "That's Adequate" (1989), and participated at different times in the TV show "Saturday Night Live". With "Chaplin" (1992), biographical film directed by Richard Attenborough, Robert met one of his biggest hits, as he was nominated for an Oscar as best actor. In "Iron Man" (2008) he played the title to portray Tony Stark, a billionaire engineer who acts as a superhero with the name title of the film role. The film, which met a sequel titled "Iron Man 2" (2010), is based on a Marvel comic book. He reprised the character in "The Avengers" (2012), in "Iron Man 3" (2013), in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015) and "Captain America: Civil War" (2016).

In "Sherlock Holmes" (2009), Guy Ritchie film, he played the main character with Jude Law in the role of Watson. For his performance he won a Golden Globe. In "The Soloist" (2009) was Steve Lopez, a journalist who discovered on the streets of Los Angeles to the musician Nathaniel Ayers (film by Jamie Foxx).

He became the son of Robert Duvall in "The Judge" (2014).

As for his love life, Robert Downey Jr. married in 1992 with the model, actress and singer Deborah Falconer, whom she divorced in 2004. The couple had a son in 1993 they named Indio. He had previously maintained a long relationship with actress Sarah Jessica Parker. They are also rumored romances with Uma Thurman, Marisa Tomei and Farrah Fawcett. In 2005 he married Susan Levin, producer of "Gothika". The couple had their first child on 7 February 2012 which they named Exton Elias.
